montage intro workshop

The pandemic put all live workshops on hold, and we haven’t started them again. Subscribe to our mailing list (in the footer) to be notified of future classes.

One on One Guidance

We cap the number of workshop participants to make sure there is plenty of space and time for each student.

The students have had a variety of backgrounds: Burning Man folks wanting to enhance their festival wear, a designer from a community theater company, a leather worker wanting to expand his tool box, a LARPers and a fine art painter…

We guide them through the 7 steps of creating with the Organic Armor Arts. These are demonstrated in the online course as well: design, building the base, construction, coating, lacryl, painting, and finishing touches.

They all make a set of upper armbands, learning techniques that they will be able to later apply to all kinds of other forms.

Because it’s live and takes place in the studio where all the magic happens, they were able to ask a lot of questions not covered in the online course, and see our various works in progress.

The live workshop students also get access to the online course included in the price. We’ve been told us that this has helped to reinforce what they learned hands on. Many of the workshop students are now active on the private Facebook group, sharing their work in progress and questions.

latexIt’s been a real pleasure getting to know these artists in person.
